I graduated from SUNY Cortland with a degree in Business Economics, a concentration in Financial Management, and a minor in Computer Applications.
I am currently attending SUNY Oswego for a Masters in Human Computer Interaction and Advance Certificate in Integrated and Social Media.
My relationship with technology…
I grew up with the Internet – therefore, I was never impressed by it. Everything always just ‘made sense.’ By the time I would question if technology could do something – it could. Around February/March 2017, I had a Samsung Galaxy S6, and one day I got a notification to press and hold the home button. That is when the Google Assistant came into my life. She was the first time I thought, “OHMYGOD, that is AWESOME!!!”
Ever since that day, I fell in LOVE with technology!
One day in my ‘Technology and Society’ class, my teacher asked a question regarding our impression of someone who works in IT… to which I replied, “The complete opposite of me.”
I worked in technology sales, and every day, I was questioned on my knowledge. “Do you know about this…” “I need someone who knows a lot about XYZ…” “Can you find me someone else…” My manager would be standing nearby, come over and say, “She is the smartest person in this store.”
I’m blonde and female. I wear 6 inch heels. But I also code.
My professional goal is to work in technology and help create “OHMYGOD that is AWESOME” moments.
