Sassier Spoon – Design Challenge

Sassier Spoon is a website of college inspired recipes to encourage students to eat healthier, cook from scratch, and eliminate food waste. I am also blogging my personal cooking journey separate from this project.
In this collection of assignments, I was challenged to create a design challenge, make a user persona for such challenge, and code a website showcase HTML5 and CSS3 elements.
Project Brittany – Analysis

Project Brittany is my personal portfolio I began to develop for one of my classes. The purpose of the site is to feature me as a creator in the digital space and market myself for potential employers by embracing individuality as an asset for creative perspectives.
In this analysis, I test the site based on my desired intentions to determine if the site’s interactions are native to the user, relative to potential employers.

Internet Reliance – Photo Essay

Explore humans’ relationship with technology throughout curated photos focusing on realities and assumptions of technology.
My goal in the photographs was to poke fun at the stereotypes of ‘staying up until 3 am watching cat videos on YouTube’ and ‘forgetting basic communication skills’ while uncovering the dangers of society’s strong reliance on the Internet from not understanding it.
Meet Sally – Cyberbullying Video PSA

In this digital age, it is important to post responsibly and be aware of the subtle warning signs a loved one is being affected by cyberbullying.
Together my group and I developed a storyline for a young girl named Sally, a victim of cyberbullying. We wanted to explore the social side effects and transitional periods from being okay to not being okay, including how easy it is to look over the clues. I created the infographic to display statistics and resources for helplines.
Not Sponsored – Podcast

The mini-season podcast Not Sponsored purpose was to create advertisement awareness. Ads aren’t bad, but they can be manipulative. By discussing the ads, we see and respond to them – allows us not to be controlled by the ad companies.
I will be honest. This was a challenging assignment to complete virtually. However, I value it as a learning opportunity. It taught me the importance of preparation and working in a field you are passionate about. For those reasons, the sports episode was our largest success.

The Potential for Ultimate Immersion in The Sims – Article

Game designers’ number 1 goal is to create immersive content. VR has a unique immediacy factor imitating reality resulting in the user forgetting the use of the medium. 2020 has forced virtual EVERYTHING! Imagine a life simulation video game in VR.
I have a theory / suggestion for The Sims 5… The Sims V(R).

Dungeon Delve is a Medieval Heist game. Explore the progress of creating a board game from brainstorming, playtesting, and redesigning.
I was in charge of developing the rulebook to understand and relay the theme of the game.
